Steal a Brainrot Base — Floors, Slots & Lock Time
Floors and slots
| Floors | Slots | Unlocked at |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | up to 10 | Start |
| 2 | 11–18 | Rebirth 2–9 |
| 3 | 19–25 | Rebirth 10–17 |
| 4 | 26–31 | Rebirth 18+ |
Slot counts are the ranges recorded on the community wiki. The floor-1 row there is malformed, so "up to 10" is inferred from floor 2 starting at slot 11 rather than copied — treat that one figure as approximate. Ranges also move as rebirth rewards are rebalanced, and the developer has said a basement floor is planned.
Wiki data pulled:
Why the upper floors matter more than the slots
Every extra slot is more income, but height is defence. A thief has to walk to a brainrot, grab it and carry it out — brainrots parked on the third floor cost them time, and time is exactly what the lock takes away from them. Put your secrets as high as the base allows and leave the cheap earners on floor one as bait.
Base skins
Skins are cosmetic bases unlocked by completing a mutation set in the index — collect enough of one mutation and the matching skin becomes available, switchable at any time. Seasonal bases became tradeable in Update 53, which is why you occasionally see one offered in trades rather than earned.
Lock time is a real strategy, not a footnote
The lock is what turns this from a tycoon into a PvP game. Sixty seconds is barely enough at rebirth 0; by the mid rebirths it is long enough that most opportunistic thieves give up and hit an easier base. If you are being farmed repeatedly, the fix is usually the next rebirth or a private server, not rearranging your brainrots.
